The 750th Anniversary of Chiang Rai
Chiang Rai was established in 1262 by Phraya Mung Rai or Phraya Meng Rai. This city is so important in Lanna history that the younger generation should study and research into it boost their sense of pride and patriotism in their home land. On the occasion that Chiang Rai commemorates its 750th year, Thailand Post has joined the celebration by issuing commemorative stamps.
