Braving the Sun
Sunflowers of Helianthus annuus Linn, are herbaceous plants, with single stems and are not more than two meters in height. Their oval leaves are zigzagged at the rim. The yellow flowers are round with seeds in the middle. The seeds can yield oil. The flowers turn to face the sun all the time, thus explaining the name "sunflowers". The petals can come in single or multi layers. Those who want to see sunflowers dancing in the sun can take a train to Pasak Cholasith Dam when both sides of the tracks feature hundreds of the sunflowers.
