The Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, whose inaugural flight was on May 1st, 1960, has served as both a domestic and international airline. It is one of the founding members of the Star Alliance Network. Its symbol is the Champak flower by which the Airline is otherwise known. 
 
Its safty measures have been classified at level A, which is the safest level. In 2007, it was selected by Sky Tracks Research--an airline business research company, as the second best airline of the world.
