The 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of Vajiravudh College
King Vajiravudh or Rama VI had the Royal Page School established on Thursday, December 29th, 1910, and aimed at making it a centre of education for young Thai males. The school itself was deemed to be a royal monastery of this reign since the King did not have a temple built. In the reign of King Prajadhipok or Rama VII, Rajavithayalai School and the Royal Page School were combined into one and the King named it, Vajiravudh College in honour, King Vajiravudh.
The stamps feature lined designs created by the traditional lithography technique. Their distinctive characteristics are the black and white lines, depicting architechtural structures that, unlike the building of other institues, are unique and easy to remember.
