The Naughty Rabbit
The Year of the Rabbit ranks fourth in the traditional zodiac cycle. The Buddhist years that correspond to the Year of the Rabbit are, for example, 2506 B.E., 2518 B.E., 2530 B.E., 2542 B.E., and 2554 B.E. In comparison with the Western calendar, the beginning and the ending of the zodiac year is not specific. The Thai and Chinese calendars are also different in their beginning and ending.
According to the royal version of the Bhramachati, those born in the Year of the Rabbit belong to the wooden element. Their mouths are guarded by mercury; therefore their words appeal to the elderly or their superiors. Their hearts are guarded by Venus, thus filling them with desire and anger, but they are courageous and love to volunteer to do things. The Moon is their seat, causing them to be obsessed by wordly matters. They may even be involved in an affair with a friend's wife. The Sun and Saturn serve as their hands, resulting in the neatness of their work. The Sun and Mars also serve as their feet, inspiring them to travel far and wide.
