Each and Every Brick is Part of Valuable Heritage
Muang Tam Religious Sanctuary is located on the lower slopes of Phanom Rung Mountain in Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province. Believed to been built sometime between the sixteenth and the eighteenth Buddhist centuries, this Baphuon-style ancient sanctury is important historically and archaeologically. In the past, it served as a Hindu shirn of the Soivism Sect and was taken to be God Shiva'a abode.
Muang Tam Religious Sanctuary was registered as National Historical Site on Marchth, 1935.
