Leader of New Politics
Pridi Banomyong (Luang Pradit Manoodham) was born on May 11th, 1900 in Krung Kao District (now Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. He was a son of Sieng and Lookchan Banomyong. Lattet, he married Thanpuying Phoonsuk Banomyong (Ne Na Bombejra).
Pridi Banomyong served three terms as Prime Minister and he is honoured as a Senior Statesman. He founded University of Mural and Political Sciences and served as its first President. His roles in politics, administration, economics and education led the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to honour him as a world's highly archiving person on May 11th, 2000. He passed away on May 2nd, 1983 at the age of 83.
