A Wise Buddhist Monk
Phra Prommangalacharn (Pun Punnanuntho), commonly known by the name Reverend Panyananda Bhikku, was born on May 11th, 1911 in Khuha Sawan Sub-district, Muang District, Phattalung Province. Originally named Pun Sanehcharoen, he was ordained as a novice in 1929 and became a Buddhist monk 1931.
Reverend Panyanan Bhikkhu was the abbot of Chonpratan Rungsarit Temple in Pakkred District, Nonthaburi Province and was patron of Punya Nuntaram temple in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. His major legacy was his direct way of preaching the teachings of of the Lord Buddha and he dedicated his life to the dissemination of Buddhism until he passed away on Octobeer 10th, 2007 at the age of 96 years and 5 months. He spent 76 years in monkhood.
