Empowering the Air Force
Royal Thai Air Force has been evolving continuously in order to strengthen Thai aviation potential to have equal or even higher competency than the threat. In the early days, the Air Force used several aircraft models such as Nieuport IIN Brequet III, Baribatra Ki-30, F8F-1, F-84G, F-86F and F-5A as shown in the 1st series stamps to commemorate the centennial of RTAF Founding Father's Aviation.
In this 2nd series, the stamps would miniature 8 modern aircrafts as their models. Fighter aircrafts in stamp design 1-4 are in service o protecting the sovereignty of Thailand. These models include F-5B, F-5E, F-16ADF and Gripen C. The aircrafts in stamp design 5-8 serve as reyal flight helicopter for Hist Majesty the King and the royal family including AVRO, Boeing 737-800, Bell-412EP and S-92A.
