Royal Member who has achieved Great Contribution
H.R.H. Prince Nares Varariddhi, or formly known as Phra-ong-chao Krisdapinihan, was the 17th child or the 8th son of His Majesty King Mongkut (Rama IV) and Chao Chom Manda Klin. H.R.H. Prince Nares Varariddhi was born on 7th May 1855 and was the founder of the Kridakara Na Ayutthaya surname.
His Royal Highness the Prince had served several important government positions in the reign of King Rama V, he had served as Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ambassador to the United States, Committee of Metropolitan Police Division, Minister of Metropolitan Police Ministry and Minister of Public Works Ministry. During the reign of King Rama VI, he had served as Minister of Murathathorn Ministry and Advisory Minister. Furthermore, he improved and reorganized the Police Patrol Division by following the model of Singapore Police Patrol Division after His Majesty King Chulalongkorn visited Singapore in 1890. Later the Police Patrol Division was developed to the Royal Thai Plolice. H.R.H. Prince Nares Varariddhi passed away on 20th August 1925.
