Royal Member who was an Eminent Personality of UNESCO
Although Thailand Post Co., Ltd. has already launched 2 stamp collections for 2 consecutive years in 2010 - 2011, as a mark of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Her Majesty Queen Sri Savarindira, the Queen Grandmother of Thailand in 2012, the company would launch a similar collection. Besides the anniversary, this year Her Majesty Queen Sri Savarindira, the Queen Grandmother was being designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to be a World's Eminent Personality in Education, Culture, Applied Science, and Social and Human Sciencest. The 3rd stamp collection displays portrait and portrait drawing of Her Majesty Queen Sri Savarindira in 4 periods of life during 1862 - 1955 including when she was a child, being appointed as Her Royal Highness the Princess of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn and was named Princess Savang Vaddhana, being appointed as Queen Savang Vaddhana Borom Rachathewi Phrapan Wassa-aiyikachao accordingly.
