Artwork decorated with the wings of metallic beetles is an ancient art from Artists in the olden days embroidered metallic beetles' wings of various colors - bluish green or golden yellow, on to women's wraps. As the life-cycle of metallic beetles is short and they meet a natural death at the due time, leaving their wings scattered around the tree trunks where they used to live. The colors of their wings remain vivid and their texture is durable so they can be cut into shapes as desired. These caught Her Majesty the Queen's interest and she wished to have them decorated on oenaments, sculptures and woven into the Yarn Liphou basketry. These have become exquisite products of the SUPPORT Foundation.
